EYELEVEL Creative, a digital visualisation consultancy based in Newcastle, are set to revolutionise the architecture industry by launching a new pioneering augmented reality app, EYEVIEW.

The company, which specialises in creating high quality photorealistic computer generated images for the design and property industries, has developed a new professional augmented reality service for architects, planners and visualisation companies.

The company has produced images for an Olympic Pavilion in London, the Toffee Factory in Newcastle and for projects in Doha, Malaysia and further afield. More recently EYELEVEL have created the images for the Stephenson Quarter development in Newcastle. Now, the highly skilled team are using their experience to create a new, cost effective service for architects and planners.

EYEVIEW is an augmented reality app which allows designers to see what their planned buildings will look like on-site and in real time. By holding up their iPad at location, users can see 3D models of architectural designs superimposed onto the construction site or building currently occupying the space. This allows professionals to view scale images of their proposals from any position on the ground.

Utilising multiple viewpoints, this allows an invaluable foresight of the impact planned developments will have on their surroundings and give industry experts an unprecedented opportunity to how the building may look in its location. Producing accurate 3D visualisations of projects is a vital part of the design and planning process and each image can up to 2 weeks to create.

With large commercial planning applications requiring as many as 40 of these images from different viewpoints, image costs for the average project can be many thousands of pounds. However, EYEVIEW now offers intuitive new technology allowing the process to be managed significantly faster and more cheaply. EYEVIEW is due for commercial launch in September.

In the meantime, the app is available to beta test by contacting EYELEVEL Creative.
