Mindfulness practices have been around for thousands of years. Why has mindfulness quite recently become a hot topic in the world of business, education, health and government? Research is showing that companies who introduce mindfulness to their leaders and workforce enjoy significant benefits – less stress, reduced sickness/absence levels, enhanced decision-making and happier staff. At this Service Network event, led by ARK Associates the following content will be covered:
What is mindfulness? And, what is it not?
What are the proven benefits for individuals and organisations?
Where does it come from?
Who is using it today? e.g. Google, London Transport, US Marines, UK Government, Npower.
OK, let’s try it – a couple of simple practices anyone can do
What are the easy day to day applications we can all use?
The session will be facilitated by Alan Ross, MD of ARK Associates, executive coach, yoga teacher and recognised authority on mindfulness in the workplace. Cost: Free to Service Network members and £45 + VAT for non members. Includes refreshments.
To avoid a cancellation fee of £35 + VAT please inform the Service Network team in writing at least 48 hours before the event if you register but can no longer attend.
