Guest speaker: Raymond Reynolds, Retail Director, Greggs plc
Greggs plc’s retail director, Raymond Reynolds, will talk to Service Network members about the remarkable growth of Greggs as a national brand. The 70-year-old company, which began with one office in Gosforth, now has almost 1800 retail units and 20,000 staff, with its HQ in Newcastle.
Raymond Reynolds, who has worked with Greggs for 30 years, will discuss the commercial and values-led decisions which have led to the huge success of the growing company. These include absolute commitment to listening to and acting on customer feedback, the ability to be fleet of foot, working as one national brand across all products, and keeping an eagle eye on changing tastes.
He will also talk about how the company has met challenges over the years, and its plans for the future.
Raymond’s talk about how the small family company became the UK’s favourite promises to give a fascinating, inspiring insight into Greggs, now the UK’s largest bakery chain.
The event will end with a networking lunch including some of Greggs best-selling products!
